Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 10, 2026
At WristPay, we take the privacy of our readers seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit wrist-pay.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. WristPay covers the wearable payments industry and fintech innovation — we do not collect payment data from readers and never handle financial transactions on this site.
Information We Collect
When you read articles on WristPay, we collect minimal technical data necessary to operate the site:
- Server logs: IP address, user-agent string, pages visited, timestamps. Retained for 30 days for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
- Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message content — only when you voluntarily submit the contact form. Stored in our mail system until resolved.
- Analytics: Aggregate traffic data (page views, geographic region at country level, referrers) via a privacy-respecting self-hosted analytics service. No personal identifiers are tracked.
Cookies
WristPay uses strictly functional cookies only:
- CSRF token cookie — prevents form spoofing on the contact page. Expires with your session.
- Cloudflare challenge cookie — set when Cloudflare's bot protection intervenes. Expires in 30 minutes.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party cross-site identifiers.
Third-Party Services
WristPay's editorial content occasionally links to third-party websites (regulators, product vendors, primary sources). We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data — review each site's privacy policy before interacting.
Images on articles may be sourced from Unsplash or stored on our own CDN. No tracking is performed through image loads.
Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)
You can request at any time:
- A copy of data we hold about you (access)
- Correction of inaccurate data (rectification)
- Deletion of your data (erasure)
- Restriction or objection to processing
- Data portability in a common format
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Data Retention
We retain contact form messages for up to 2 years after resolution, server logs for 30 days, and aggregate analytics for 13 months. Nothing is retained indefinitely.
Children's Privacy
WristPay is intended for an adult audience interested in fintech and payments technology. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
